Exploring Colorado

Surrounded by this gorgeous scenery, the kids and I enjoyed an afternoon at the park. Unlike parks in our neighborhood, this one didn't have any swings or slides. What it did have was clear, cold water from the Rockies rushing over rocks worn smooth, as well as mountains soaring high above us on all sides. I have been extremely blessed to live in places where I can see the majesty of God's handiwork, from the vastness of the ocean to the heights of His mighty mountains. Oh, that I would not take His creation, His goodness, His grace for granted.

For the LORD is a great God
And a great King above all gods,
In whose hand are the depths of the earth,
The peaks of the mountains are His also.
The sea is His, for it was He who made it,
And His hands formed the dry land.
Come, let us worship and bow down,
Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.
For He is our God,
And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.

You're right, that river is beautiful, and cold! I hope you have many fond memories in it. :)
