The Big Move (Part Three)
Mid afternoon, Thursday, June 19th, we got to Denver! WoooHOOOO! Nobody was actually woohooing though...we were all too tired (from sitting and doing nothing for four days) and cramped. We met our realtor at the new house, since we had closed on the house by mail on Tuesday.
We spent all day Friday cleaning. Baseboards, fridges, toilets, tubs, etc...plus, Bo got vacuums and floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners, so he came back and did the floors that night with Clay, while I took the other kids swimming at the hotel.
Our movers could have brought our stuff on Saturday, seeing as how the truck was here in town, and apparently they kept trying to call us. However, the company (the cruddy one in FL) had given them my cell number...my old cell number...the defunct, no longer functioning cell number...the one I told them NOT to use. We had even called the company to see where our truck might be, and when we might expect it, and were told that we'd hear from them. They never did call the driver, but they did finally come on Sunday. They finished unloading the truck around 5:30 PM or so, so we then left to grab a bite to eat for dinner, and came back and started unpacking. I'm happy to say that we got the whole house unpacked and put away by Tuesday. All that I have left really is decorations. Some of them are up, but I'm not quite sure where I want most of the stuff to go yet, but that's alright.
We're settling in, and really enjoying our close proximity to everything. I took Annie and Ellie out for haircuts today, and they look cute as can be, and I think we'll take all the kids to one of the four rec centers in our community tonight.
Hope everybody's doing well! I miss you all!

So glad to hear "you made it!" So do you feel like you have enough space, now that you have your stuff in there? Look forward to some pixs as you make your new house into a home!
Take care,
Erin
I know that you are glad to be at your new home. From the few pictures, it's looking good.
Blessings,
Debbie
BTW, I called Mark in her to show him pictures of the kids. He said they are all beautiful and couldn't get over how big Clay is getting to be!!
He wanted to know where the pictures of you and Bo were hiding?
BTW, the little girls are dolls. Their ponytails made me laugh.
Glad to hear that you are settling in. The girls look so cute in the chair. I just realized that they could pass for my girls!
Dana,
Glad that you are getting settled in. Sounds like quite the ordeal getting out of Florida. Call me when you have a chance.
Erin
Welcome to Colorado!! So glad you - and your stuff - made it safely and you're settling in. I know we're on opposite sides of the metro area, but it's great to have you here.
